IN exercise of the powers
conferred on the Secretary
responsible for Lands and Natural
Resources by sections 22(1) and
23(2) of the Timber Export
Development Board Law, 1985 (PNDCL
123) this Instrument is made this
3rd day of February, 1986.
Section 1—Transfer of Assets,
Rights Obligations and
Liabilities.
(1) The assets, rights,
obligations and liabilities of
Ghana Timber Board are hereby
transferred to the Timber Export
Development Board and the Forest
Products Inspection Bureau.
(2) The distribution of the assets
of the Ghana Timber Marketing
Board shall be as specified in the
Schedule to this Instrument.
(3) All actions pending against
the Ghana Timber Marketing Board
and any other action in connection
with the dissolution of the Ghana
Timber Marketing Board shall be
prosecuted or defended by the
Timber Export Development Board or
the Forest Products Inspection
Bureau in the appropriate case.
Section 2—Commencement.
This Instrument shall be deemed to
have come into force on the same
day as the Timber Export
Development Board Law, 1985 (P.N.D.C.L.
123).

2. The Wood Supplies Division
The Division owns two articulated
Benz trucks. Only one is on the
road now.
3. Timbod Mills Division
The division has three Forestmills
4. Poultry Farm and Feedmill
It has a large number of birds at
the moment. There is also a
feedmill attached to the farm.
5. Subsidiaries
(a) Ghana Timbers Ltd.—The Ghana
Timbers Ltd. is heavily indebted
to Banks and companies.
(b) Ehwia Wood Products.—This is a
sawmill with very old equipment.
(c) Kumasi Furniture & Joinery Co.
Ltd.—The furniture producing
company formerly has very old
machines but the company has taken
delivery of a set of new equipment
ordered for it by the Board.
(d) Saw Doctoring School.—The Saw
Doctoring School is to be taken
over by the Kumasi Technical
Institute.
(e) Blackwood Hodge (GH) Ltd.—The
Board holds 31.25% shares, i.e.
125,000 ordinary shares in
Blackwood Hodge (Gh) Ltd. at a
cost of ¢425,000. Only two
dividends — ¢16,000.00 and
¢33,000.00 have so far been paid
to the Board.
