WHEREAS the Government of the
P.N.D.C. on the 12th day of
February, 1988 withdrew
recognition from Kwadjo Yeboah as
chief of Aduasa because of his
past criminal record;
AND WHEREAS the Judicial Committee
of the Eastern Regional House of
Chiefs on the 13th day of June
1988 declared the purported
nomination of Kwadjo Yeboah as
chief of Aduasa contrary to Aduasa
customary laws and practices;
AND WHEREAS the P.N.D.C. Secretary
responsible for Chieftaincy
Matters is satisfied that it is in
the interest of public order and
the preservation of the stool
property to take possession of the
Aduasa Stool property;
NOW THEREFORE in exercise of the
powers conferred on the P.N.D.C.
Secretary responsible for
Chieftaincy Matters by section 29
of the Chieftaincy Act 1971 (Act
370) this Instrument is made this
26th day of September, 1988.
The P.N.D.C. District Secretary
for Akim Oda is hereby ordered to
take possession of the Aduasa
Stool property.
