IN exercise of the powers
conferred on the Provisional
National Defence Council by
subsection (1) of section 6 of the
Provisional National Defence
Council (Establishment)
Proclamation (Supplementary and
Consequential Provisions) Law,
1982 (P.N.D.C.L. 42) this
Instrument is made this 14th day
of February, 1989.
Section 1—E.I. 27 of 1987 Amended.
The Committee of Inquiry
(Malpractices in Insurance Claims
and Related Matters) Instrument,
1987 (E.I. 27) is hereby amended
by the substitution for
sub-paragraph (h) of paragraph 3
thereof of the following new
paragraph:
“(h) to implement such of its
findings as will facilitate the
speedy and just settlement of
compensation and to submit to the
Council its finding on any
settlement of compensation so made
and also on the rest of its
findings, giving reasons therefore
and making such recommendations in
respect of its findings as the
Committee considers appropriate”.
Section 2—Commencement.
This Instrument shall be deemed to
have come into force on the same
date as the Committee of Inquiry
(Malpractices in Insurance Claims
and Related Matters) Instrument,
1987.
