WHEREAS under section 2 of the
Public Holidays Law, 1989 (P.N.D.C.L.
220) the President may by
Executive Instrument declare as a
public holiday a day other than
the days specified as a statutory
public holiday under that Law;
AND WHEREAS the President
considers that Monday, the 27th of
March, 2000 be declared a public
holiday to facilitate the smooth
take off of the national census.
NOW THEREFORE in exercise of the
powers conferred on the President
by section 2 of the Public
Holidays Law, 1989 (P.N.D.C.L.
220) this Instrument is made this
24th day of March, 2000.
MONDAY, the 27th day of March,
2000 is hereby declared a public
holiday.
