WHEREAS by the State Lands (Pershie—Site
for Sheep Breeding Project)
Instrument, (Executive Instrument
1979 (E.I. 19), the piece or
parcel of land described in the
schedule hereto was declared to be
land required in the public
interest.
AND WHEREAS the public interest
for which the said land had been
declared is now defeated.
AND WHEREAS the Site Advisory
Committee of the Komenda Edina
Eguafo Abrem District Assembly
has, with the approval of the
Central Regional Co-ordinating
Council and the Ministries of Food
and Agriculture and Lands and
Forestry, decided that the said
E.I. 19 of 1979 be revoked and the
land therein described be given
back to the owners immediately
before the compulsory acquisition.
NOW THEREFORE, in exercise of the
Powers conferred on the president
by subsection (1) of section 1 of
the State Lands Act, 1962 (Act
125), this Instrument is hereby
made this 21st day of November,
2003.
E.I. 19/79 revoked
The State Lands (Pershie—Site for
Sheep Breeding Project) Instrument
(E.I. 19/79) is hereby revoked.
The land specified in the schedule
hereto is hereby given back to the
owners immediately before the
passage of the above-mentioned
Executive Instrument.
SCHEDULE
All that piece of land containing
an approximate area of 308.65
acres situate at Pershie in the
Komenda-Edina Eguafo-Abrem
District in the Central Region of
the Republic of Ghana lying to and
adjoining the South-western edge
of the Motor Road from Esamang to
Pershie and to the East of the
Motor Road from Atabadzi to
Ankwana and bounded on the North
by open space and measuring on
that side 2717.0 feet on the
North-east by the said Motor Road
from Esamang to Pershie and
measuring on that side 2779.0 feet
on the South by open space and
measuring on that side 4689 feet
and on the West by the said Motor
Road from Atabadzi to Ankwana and
measuring on that side 2949 feet
which piece of land is more
particularly delineated on Plan
No. LD8896/60806 annexed hereto
and thereon shewn edged pink.
