IN exercise of the powers conferred on the Attorney-General by section 56 of the Criminal and Other Offences (Procedures) Act 1960 (Act 30) as amended, this Instrument is made this 25th day of June, 2010.

Public Officers to be Public Prosecutors

1. Lawyers employed by the Electricity Company of Ghana are by this Instrument appointed as prosecutors in respect of any action that arises under offences related to the supply of electricity.

Right of appearance in court or Tribunal

2. A public prosecutor appointed under paragraph 1 of this Instrument may appear and plead before any court or Tribunal of competent jurisdiction.
