IN exercise of the powers
conferred on the
Commander-in-Chief by section 97
of the Armed Forces Act, 1962 (Act
105), and after consultation with
the Armed Forces Council, these
Regulations are made this 31st day
of July, 1975.
Regulation 1—Amendment of C.I.
12/1970
The Armed Forces Regulations, 1970
(C.I. 12) as amended are hereby
further amended by the
substitution for Article 206.85
thereof of the following:—
"206.85—Scale of Gratuities
Subject to the provisions of
article 206.86, gratuities may be
awarded to men at the following
rates—
(a) for the release on completion
of 6 years service a man shall be
entitled to a year's pensionable
emolument;
(b) for each additional year of
qualifying service (after 6 years)
up to 12 years, one-sixth of a
year's pensionable emolument;
(c) for each additional year of
qualifying service (after 12
years) up to 18 years, one-fifth
of a year's pensionable
emolument."
Regulation 2—Commencement
These Regulations shall be deemed
to have come into force on the 1st
day of July, 1974.
